Client privacy
What the client uses during play, Discord activity and support reporting.
Game account and play
Signing in shares your account and session information with L2Evolution. During play, the service receives actions, chat and requests needed to manage your character and the game world. It can also see the connection's public IP address.
The website Privacy policy covers the player panel and other website services.
L2EvoGuard
L2EvoGuard uses an installation identifier, client version and protection reports to help protect game sessions. The installation identifier can recognise the same installation on later connections.
Protection checks can examine running process names, window classes, modules loaded into the client and the client's integrity. Input checks use event counts and timing while the game is in the foreground; those statistics do not record typed text or mouse coordinates.
Discord activity
When activity sharing is enabled, Discord can display Login, Character Selection or In Game, an activity start time and a server caption. Character name and level appear only when the separate character-sharing option is enabled.
You can disable sharing through the preferences described in Settings and saved files.
Updates and crash reports
The launcher contacts the update service to check and download releases. That service receives ordinary connection information, including your public IP address.
Logs and crash reports are saved in your local application profile. Reports can include the client version, the action in progress and diagnostic details. Use Send latest crash report to share a report when you choose to request help. Shared reports are kept private for support rather than published on the website.
Screenshots and log excerpts can contain character information, paths or chat. Review them before attaching them to a support message. Never publish passwords, access tokens or your complete private profile.
